Job Description

As a Content Marketing Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting the content marketing strategy at DOZR. The Content Marketing Specialist is a content creator with experience writing long and short form content including website copy, blogs, customer success stories, white papers, and in-depth research reports. You are constantly generating (and executing) new ideas for engaging content across the marketing funnel. You’re passionate about the audience and you’re comfortable juggling several diverse projects at once. Content doesn’t just stop at writing. The Content Marketing Specialist will also be responsible for leading DOZR’s podcast execution, as well as collaborating with other individuals and departments on video and other multimedia content projects.

You will be responsible for the successful implementation of proactive and strategic content marketing programs that build awareness for DOZR’s vision, brand value and e-commerce solutions. You will work directly with internal stakeholders including marketing and public relations specialists to increase awareness of the DOZR brand on our owned and earned channels, as well as any external partner channels. 

As a Content Marketing Specialist at DOZR, your objective is to communicate our mission and value proposition by creating engaging content for a variety of marketing campaigns and programs. The content you create will strengthen brand awareness and help drive qualified leads for the DOZR marketplace and e-commerce solutions.

In a typical day you might:

  • Act as the brand voice on the DOZR blog, engaging with our audience in a meaningful and authentic way across all online properties.

  • In collaboration with the PR Specialist, research and write content such as blogs, customers stories, contributed articles, event messaging, and presentations.

  • Work with the marketing team to create and implement an editorial calendar to manage content production and distribution.

  • Plan and report on the impact of content marketing including web sessions, lead generation and conversions.

  • Identify opportunities to diversify message deployment across print, digital, email and social media channels, collaborating with internal stakeholders as needed.

  • Apply an extremely high standard with regard to grammar, punctuation, and language usage, and for ensuring all materials safeguard the outstanding DOZR reputation.

  • Work closely with the Director of Marketing to plan, develop, deliver, and evaluate integrated content marketing plans.

  • Support broader SEO Strategy with long form content on the DOZR blog and other online properties.

Qualifications

The Ideal Candidate:

  • You are a natural storyteller with excellent writing skills and a mastery of the English language.

  • You are thorough in your work and have an exceptional grasp of grammar and spelling.

  • You stay well-informed and up-to-date on industry trends, news, issues and emerging social trends. 

  • You take an editorial approach to your content creation and are focused on creating content that your audience craves and consumes.

  • You have a solid understanding of online copywriting and how it impacts SEO.

  • You are detail oriented and consistently produce a high quality of work.

  • You are passionate about learning and growing and like to push yourself outside of your comfort zone.

  • You are comfortable working in a highly collaborative, open-concept environment.

  • Post-Secondary degree/diploma in Marketing, Business, Communications, or other field.

  • Previous experience in a B2B marketing role as a Content Creator, Copywriter, Social Media Coordinator, or similar role.
