Work schedule: This is a full-time internship (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday).
Compensation: An hourly rate of 20,60$/h will be offered.
Duration: This internship will take place during summer 2024 over a period of 6 months.
Location: This internship offers the possibility of working either at the studio or in Flex mode.

What you'll be doing

Reporting to the Montreal studio’s Associate Producer, your role will be to help our Narrative Designer with various tasks such as playtesting, dialogue timing adjustments, integration follow-up, script exports and formatting.

Your mission will be to:

  • Support our Creative Director and our Narrative Designer in ensuring that narrative design elements are cohesive and tested;
  • Support in tuning and testing the relationship system;
  • Playtest and provide feedback about the game;
  • Set and fine-tune silences and timings post recordings;
  • Test dialogues and report any bugs found to the Programmer in charge of the dialogue system;
  • Help with setting character moods (i.e., facial expression based on presets) depending on the scene’s context and look-ats (i.e., where the characters should be looking at);
  • Help Level Designers with polishing timings of dialogues, game text and label placement;
  • Prepare, export, and clean recording scripts;
  • Enter and track game texts (labels, tutorial texts, menu texts, interaction texts, etc.);
  • Track and integrate texts related to collectibles;
  • Assist with exports and tracking for localization;
  • Track and integrate voice overs related to miscellaneous interactions.

Qualifications

The must-have skills we're looking for

  • Familiarity with Unreal Engine;
  • General knowledge of version control systems.

What would set you apart?

  • Experience with Perforce;
  • An interest in branching narrative in games;
  • Visual scripting experience.
