What you'll be doing

Reporting to the Montreal studio’s Associate Producer, your role will be to support the environment team and ensure the quality of the visual rendering of the sets within the different constraints of the project.

Your mission will be to:

  • Work daily in close collaboration with the creative and artistic direction, production, design and programming teams;
  • Ensure the follow-up of production and modeling requests with external partners as well as the internal team;
  • Ensure the qualitative and technical follow-up of the elements produced by the team (internal and external);
  • Provide supervision of the environment team members and participate in the process of potential future recruitments;
  • Design the 3D elements and textures that make up the sets and ensure they reach the desired level of quality.

Qualifications

The must-have skills we're looking for

  • Proven experience as a Lead Environment Artist or Senior Environment Artist on the production of at least one 3D game ("AA" or "AAA");
  • A good knowledge of the Unreal 4/5 engine;
  • Proficiency with 3DS Max and/or Maya and/or Blender, as well as Substance Designer. You are familiar with the PBR (Physically Based Rendering) production chain and have a solid knowledge of ZBrush, as well as architecture, sculpture, drawing, and art history;
  • Technical, artistic, and organizational skills that allow you to set up the necessary pipelines and collaborate with members of other professions;
  • The ability to create rich and authentic environments that enhance the gaming experience while following an original artistic vision;
  • Striving to ensure the quality of the project's environments, while having the ability to pass on your knowledge and fostering a good working environment for your team;
  • Demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills, adopting a pedagogical approach and being adaptable to interlocutors from various professions. Your taste for teamwork, your strong artistic sensitivity and your commitment are all assets for this position.
