Company Description

Created in 2008, DON’T NOD is an independent studio which creates and develop AA games in various genres : adventure (Life is Strange, Tell Me Why, Twin Mirror), action (Remember Me) and RPG (Vampyr). Each new game is an original creation with unique narrative gameplay experience and game mechanics.

In 2020, DON’T NOD expanded internationally by creating its first branch in Montreal.

What you'll be doing

Reporting to the Montreal studio’s Executive Producer, your role will be to collaborate with the whole game team to ensure a good progression of its development.

Your mission will be to :

  • motivate and support the development team to ensure that the goals, objectives, milestones and deliverables are attainable and achieved, in a caring work environment, in line with DON’T NOD values;
  • organize the project's production, and the coordination with the company technical teams and department leads;
  • lead and guide the teams in the definition and tasks planning;
  • follow the professional and personal development of several key members of the team;
  • facilitate the synchronization between each team: dependencies, priorities, etc.;
  • identify the production issues and participate to their resolution;
  • communicate efficiently to the team the objectives to reach and the project's progression (dashboards creation, organization of reviews, etc.);
  • help optimize and improve the work conditions for the team, whether they work remotely or in the office.

Qualifications

The must-have skills we're looking for

  • 5 years of experience at a video game producing job, on one or more shipped games, indie, AA or AAA;
  • An excellent knowledge of the constraints and specificities of all production phases of a PC/console video game;
  • A natural ability to bring a team together and foster an efficient and fulfilling work environment;
  • An excellent knowledge of the usual production software (JIRA, MS office...);
  • Demonstrated management skills;
  • Experience in managing multidisciplinary teams;
  • An inclusive, influential and inspiring style of leadership;
  • A strong work autonomy;
  • A good knowledge of the agile production methodology;
  • Very strong written and oral communication skills, in both French and English.

What would set you apart?

  • An experience on narrative games or narrative game mechanics;
  • An experience on an Unreal Engine 4 project and its constraints;
  • A producing experience with a middle-sized team (20 to 40 persons);
