Our client is a large group that has around 160,000 employees in nearly 80 countries working with passion and expertise to develop technologies, products and services for sustainable progress. In fiscal year 2012/2013 they have generated sales of around €39 billion.

We are looking for experienced SITE MANAGER who will have the following responsibilities:

  • Lead, direct and control the implementation of the project on the Client site in line with the strategy and procedures developed with the global team and the specific contract requirements.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with the Client management and communicate with them on a regular basis, both formally and informally.
  • Provide strong and visible leadership and management in the area of Health, Safety and Environment and ensure that it is recognized as the most important issue on the Site.
  • Achieve the objectives for the agreed Key Performance Indicators.
  • Implement and support the maintenance management systems required to enhance the reliability, performance and maintainability of the production assets.
  • Drive maintenance improvement initiatives.
  • Manage personnel in a manner that meets the goals set out above and enhances the development of the personnel.

Qualifications

  • Professionally qualified with at least 10 years of experience in the Mining, Materials Handling or Process Industry.
  • A University degree (BEng or equivalent or higher) in any of the engineering disciplines (mechanical, electrical or instrumentation) and good record of experience gained on industrial sites.
  • The managerial skills and experience required.
  • A good knowledge & understanding of operation and production practices and the key business drivers and how they are impacted by maintenance.
  • Experience in modern maintenance management practices, e.g.:
    • FMECA, RCM and RBI
    • Statistical performance analysis
    • Use and application of a CMMS
    • Planning & scheduling of maintenance execution
    • Selection of effective maintenance options and strategies
    • Development of maintenance business process
  • A good understanding of the requirements of all of the technical maintenance disciplines.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork & cross-cultural skills.
  • Fluency in French& English, verbally as well as in reading and writing.
