Project & Partnerships Coordinator: Climate & Health
- Full-time
Company Description
DHIS2 is a free and open-source platform for data collection and analysis, developed and shared as a Digital Public Good by HISP Centre in collaboration with our global partners. Today, DHIS2 is used in more than 100 countries, including as a national-scale public health information system in more than 70 low- and middle-income countries, where it supports a range of health programs, including immunization, malaria elimination, HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment, tuberculosis programs, maternal and child health, and much more. It has been estimated that 3.2 billion people (30% of the world’s population) live in countries where DHIS2 is used.
The HISP Centre is a not-for-profit research center located at the University of Oslo (UiO), where we function as a semi-independent organization supporting global information systems implementation and research projects and the development of DHIS2 software, guidance, and tools. We work with and are supported by many global development organizations and are a World Health Organization collaborating center. We also coordinate a network of 23 HISP groups located in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and the Americas, who work as long-term partners with Ministries of Health and other local and regional stakeholders.
With us you get a chance to work on problems which really matter: Improving the health and well-being of people around the world through access and use of information. We give you a lot of flexibility and freedom to make a difference while helping solve interesting technical challenges. At HISP, we believe you will do your best work if you fully understand the context in which the system operates, so you are encouraged to engage directly with our projects, take part in the design process, and get feedback from users in the field.
Job Description
