Job Description

DHIS2 is hiring an Integration Engineer to work with our global integration and interoperability team. This is a full-time position on a 1-year renewable contract, with the option to work remotely or from Oslo, Norway.

About This Role

As DHIS2 Integration Engineer, you will work as part of a small team to design and implement DHIS2 integration scenarios in a variety of countries, with a variety of software systems and frameworks, and for a variety of use cases (with a primary focus on the larger health information system context).

The Integration Engineer will be part of a global team of experts doing similar work across different regions. He/she will be expected to participate fully in the working of the team, with additional responsibility for leading a community of practice of integrators in the HISP community, providing guidance, examples, and advocacy.

What you’ll do:

  • Work as part of a small team designing and implementing DHIS2 integration scenarios
  • Lead a community of practice of integrators in HISP community providing guidance, examples, advocacy
  • Some travel may be required as COVID-19 travel restrictions allow

Qualifications

Required:

  • Passionate about working on a meaningful, impactful, and challenging global project
  • Proven experience on significant interoperability projects
  • Experienced java programmer (Spring framework)
  • Experienced in linux operating environment
  • Fluent in English to a professional level (written and oral)
  • Strong problem solving and communication skills

Bonus:

  • Experience with Apache Camel
  • Experience with HL7 FHIR, ICD10/11, SNOMED-CT, LOINC
  • Knowledge of DHIS2 and/or other open source health applications (eg OpenMRS)
