Job Description

We are currently looking for a Customs Assistant for the Production Control & Logistics department at our European headquarters in Weesp. 

The Production Control & Logistics department manages the flow from the arrival of goods from outside the European Union up to and including shipment to the customer within or outside the European Union. DENSO has customs permits to register this flow of goods (bonded warehouse).

For this position we are looking for an employee who wants to grow into a supervisor position. This means that we expect you to take on additional managerial responsibilities in addition to administrative work.

Your responsibilities

  • Monitoring and optimizing existing work procedures;
  • Responsible for performing internal checks on the monthly customs declarations;
  • Participate in customs related projects. In addition, you can also be responsible for various projects;
  • Together with your direct colleague, you are the point of contact regarding customs matters;
  • Administrative handling of damage claims.

Qualifications

  • Minimal MBO work and thinking level; 
  • Ambition to grow to a leadership position;
  • Interest in following a course for customs declarant (Dutch);
  • Precise, accurate and able to work under pressure;
  • Able to set priorities;
  • Numerical insight and good knowledge of MS Office, with an emphasis on Excel;
  • Your Dutch and English is good, both spoken and written.
