As an automotive supplier, DENSO is leading in developing and providing components and systems for heating, air conditioning, motor cooling, exhaust gas aftertreatment, automotive electrics and electronics and instrumentation. DENSO has signed a long-term agreement with aerospace leader Honeywell, establishing an alliance focused on electric propulsion units to meet new aerospace needs. Drawing from their automotive and aerospace backgrounds, the companies will develop and manufacture electric propulsion systems for aircraft, initially prioritizing the urban air mobility (UAM) segment with a focus on air taxis and delivery vehicles.

As an intern / working student (m/f/d) in our Electrification Engineering Department, you will:

• get insights into processes and structures of an automotive / aerospace supplier;
• support our team in the development of e-machines, power electronics and battery management systems;
• support market analysis and research related to new and innovative business models in the field of UAM and eVTOLs;
• structure and cluster requirements to identify development goals of our future product line-up;
• support technology screening and technology roadmap creation; 
• prepare and create technical presentations for various stakeholders;
• according to your strengths carry over own small project within the scope of the above-mentioned topics.

• You study in an engineering-related program (e.g. electrical engineering, mechatronics, aerospace engineering) and have interest in the aerospace / eVTOL industry; 
• You are a team player that likes to take on tasks and responsibilities proactively;
• You have fluent skills in written and spoken German and English to communicate with internal and external stakeholders;
• You are able to work with Microsoft Office applications to edit documents, handle test data and create presentations;
• Ideally, you have basic programming skills in Python to automate smaller tasks;
• Experience in the field of Urban Air Mobility or electric propulsion for aircrafts and eVTOLs is an advantage;
• You have a driver‘s license (Class B or equivalent) to accompany us on business trips or complete tasks off the company’s premises.
