Job Description

We are looking for a Material Engineer (m/f/d), located in Eching near Munich. As Material Engineer (m/f/d) for polymers, you will primarily be responsible for the automotive parts development, quality analysis, new solution development by utilizing our state-of-art digital Laboratory and cooperation with our wide global supplier network. Further you will support procurement, product development, design and production teams with material and material process-specific issues. 

  • Lead projects relating with material localization, material analysis, material testing or advanced material research, 
  • prepare material specifications and negotiate with our suppliers, 
  • investigate new suppliers’ and research companies` capabilities following our internal standards, 
  • support departments as consultant for the fields of raw material and raw material processes and create root cause analysis of quality issues  
  • develop and establish new testing methods, 
  • introduce new materials and support quality assurance by analysis at our laboratory. 

Qualifications

  • University degree as engineer (Diploma, Bachelor, Master) in the field of raw material, materials or mechanics 
  • Experience/Knowhow with polymer chemistry, process engeneering or raw materials is preferred 
  • Analysis Capability for Polymers by laboratory methods (ISO) 
  • Experience in production or research environment as well as in environmental activities 
  • Good judgment ability and analytical thinking 
  • Good communication and negotiation skills 
  • Sociable and flexible personality, team player 
  • Very good command of written and spoken English (business language is English) 
  • Business fluent in German 
  • Good PC-command (MS Office)
