As a Research Engineer (m/f/d) for Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Advanced Software Development you will work in an international Systems Engineering R&D team.  You will be involved in design and development of simulation-based validation & verification platforms mainly (but not limited to) for connected automated driving applications. Within your role, you will be responsible for:

• Contribution to internal research projects to develop model-based systems engineering environment for future products.
• Pro-actively following the recent developments of open and proprietary advanced software technologies. Report regularly, reflect them to your daily work and assess them against DENSO requirements.
• Contribution to the design of software architecture of MBSE platforms.
• Contribution and taking the lead role in related public funded projects.
• Representing DENSO in related EU/International consortia.

• M.Sc or Ph.D degree in Information Technologies, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering or similar studies.  
• Highly motivated and passionate software developer. Enthusiastic to follow and implement emerging, cutting edge software technologies. 
• Profound knowledge in Linux OS and profound programming knowledge and experience in C/C++, Python, Java; and also preferably MATLAB/Simulink and Unreal Engine/ CARLA know-how. Past experience in open-source projects is of advantage.
• Solid knowledge on system dynamics, control engineering,  model based environments and simulation tools. ML/AI knowledge and virtual development for autonomous driving know-how are of advantage.
• Preferably knowledge and experience in Jenkins, Gitlab, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Ability to reflect theoretical deep knowledge in practical and simple-to-understand applications.
• Fluent level of English is required. German and Japanese are of advantage.
• Team player with intercultural competencies as well as independent working style with good self organization and flexibility.
