Job Description

The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) will focus mainly on Mechanical and Electrical components which are purchased from EU or Japan. The SQE duties are to handle NPI projects with controlling APQP process including on-site verification at supplier as part of PPAP and manage quality claims in mass production phase.  As a Supplier Quality Engineer at DENSO Manufacturing Ltd, you will work with Purchasing Department and cross-functional teams across DENSO Manufacturing Ltd. to ensure our suppliers are enabled to meet product specifications and quality requirements. You are a key player in ensuring success for DENSO products and quality to our customers. Our SQE’s are responsible for deliverables that secure parts quality from suppliers.


Role and responsibilities

  • Introduce new products, new projects based on APQP, check and approval PPAP documents 
  • Handle quality claims related to incoming parts, keep regular contact with suppliers
  • Carry out supplier audits, monitor and follow up necessary corrective actions
  • Implements improvement plans for any quality-related complaints on products/processes from the supplier or customer
  • Evaluate and continuously improve suppliers quality performance

Qualifications

Education and experience

  • BS Degree or higher in Engineering like mechanical engineer / electrical engineer. Relevant professional experience is an advantage.
  • Quality Certifications are a plus.
  • Quality Tools – Proficient in the use of quality tools including: pFMEA, SPC / CPk, 5-Why, MSA, Gauge R&R, Pareto, Ishikawa, 8D.
  • Zero Defect - Understand and have a Zero Defect mindset.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications and knowledge of change control methods and processes.
