Job Description

Main Purpose of the Job

To monitor field quality issues for products supplied by DNUK. Major issues will be highlighted and tracked, while working with the manufacturing plants and customers to ensure issues are reported on and resolved.

Main Tasks of the Job

  • Analysing warranty claim data, identifying key improvement activities and escalating those issues to ensure warranty targets are met.

  • Negotiating with manufacturing plants and the customer to ensure a common goal is agreed and achieved for field quality improvement.

  • Leading quality investigations as and when necessary ensuring the correct quality tools and techniques are being used.

  • Submit reports to customers ensuring issues are closed out and following them through to financial settlement.

  • Being an effective communicator is a key role of the position, acting between internal plants and customers.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Personnel

No direct supervisory responsibilities but able to work on own initiative and with others.

  • Resources

To use the company resources as necessary to ensure the warranty activity is handled efficiently. Develop and maintain good relationship, trust & confidence with DENSO’s Customers and plants.

  • Planning

Short- & medium-term planning for relevant quality issue resolution. Some team planning to ensure presentations are prepared for customer meetings.

  • Decisions

Working closely between DNUK, DENSO Manufacturing plants and customers, have initiative to raise potential quality issues to management quickly and follow the suitable resolution method.

Supervision:

Reporting to the Service Dept Manager/ Assistant Manager.

Contacts:

Daily contact with:

  • Customers, DENSO Manufacturing sites and Engineering departments.
  • Colleagues across DNUK.

Working Conditions:

  • Location will follow DNUK working pattern – post covid secure -> 50/50 office/home.
  • Business travel is required to customer site in the UK.
  • Occasional overseas business travel in support of the customer will be required.

Qualifications

Relevant higher education or working experience in a related industry or position.
