Job Description

We are looking for a Working Student (m/f/d) – Thermal Performance Development at our location in Eching near Munich starting 01.10.2021 or before for a minimum of 6 months.

As a Working Student you will be responsible for developing a battery and vehicle cabin simulation model in the MATlab environment.
Target is to combine this simulation model on a Hardware-in-the-loop (HiL) test bench with a Thermal Management System of a Battery Electrical vehicle. The given tasks of the project will be developed in collaboration with the system, control, simulation, and test engineers.

The creation of the simulation models shall be based on the MATlab-Simulink library which will be calibrated with vehicle test data.
It is also expected that you will support the integration of the models to the Realtime environment of our HiL test bench, support the initial operation of the Thermal Management System in combination with the simulation models, and run comparison tests (vehicle vs. bench).


  • You are a registered student in the field of vehicle technology, thermodynamics, software development, mechanical engineering, or a comparable subject.
  • You are enthusiastic about the modeling (design and creation) and simulation of physical systems using MATlab-Simulink.
  • Your experience with simulation tools (MATlab-Simulink; Simscape fluids) is helpful to develop simulation models and integrate them into our HiL system Bench Realtime environment.
  • You have basic technical knowledge or the motivation to acquire knowledge in the field of thermal management systems (cabin, battery, powertrain, refrigerant cycles, and heat-pump systems) for battery electrical vehicles.
  • Your independent way of working and communication skills make you stand out.
  • Reliable and accurate style of working.
  • Motivation to proactively take on challenges.
  • Enjoy working in a team.
  • Fluent in spoken and written in English.
  • Microsoft Office knowledge.
