Job Description

We are looking for an IT Planner to help define DENSO’s IT direction, develop and implement plans, processes and strategy to realise our business objectives.  A strong IT background is required to understand the IT environment.

Working with us you will get a deep knowledge of IT organisation, planning and process in one of the biggest automotive suppliers worldwide.

Your responsibilities will be:

  • Understand the current DENSO European IT environment and shape a strategy and mission to innovate and improve
  • Create business proposals to develop IT in specific areas
  • Research current situations to identify threats and opportunities
  • Assess DENSO IT’s operational and strategic performance
  • Align processes, resources-planning and department goals with overall strategy
  • Provide advice and educate staff and managers at all levels as appropriate
  • Construct forecasts and analytical models
  • Create, implement and Monitor KPIs.  Make suggestions for improvements.
  • Create IT financial budgets, and check actual spend against budget.  Investigate discrepancies. 
  • Undertake process analysis, and make internal improvements to processes
  • Make reports to the IT Director and other senior management as required
  • Cooperate with IT Managers in other DENSO companies
  • Manage specific projects as required
  • Undertake administrative activities as required (invoicing, meeting management, agenda making, handling queries)

The role may best suit someone with IT management experience whom wants to move away from people management or technical hands-on work and instead wants to concentrate on IT strategic planning.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an IT Planner or similar role
  • Strong practical experience of IT (any field)
  • Understanding of data analysis
  • Knowledge of business operations and procedures
  • Demonstrable strategic thinking abilities
  • Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude
  • Organizational and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • BSc/BA in Business Studies/Administration, IT or a related field (not mandatory); MSc/MA/MBA is a plus
