Job Description

As a Financial Controller, you will work as a business partner with our business unit leaders to find efficiencies and streamline operations.  You will build ad hoc analytical reports to ensure our leaders have the most relevant, accurate information for decision-making.  On the finance team, you will work on long-term trajectories for the company and provide actual vs forecast variance analysis.  You will create and maintain cash flow forecasts.  You will also influence and support various projects as we scale. 

To be successful in this role, you must have previous experience in operational finance teams, a strong understanding of accounting, and strong communication and collaboration skills.  

You will be responsible for disseminating the financial results and working with leaders to improve them.  You will be working with an experienced, motivated team willing to share their knowledge and experience in Decathlon. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the creation and analysis of financial results.

  • Assist in building the company financial trajectory

  • Create and maintain cash flow forecasts

  • Assist in finance operations: online payment gateways, partner onboarding, etc.

  • Ensure leaders have a strong understanding of their trajectory and together produce a reliable financial forecast

  • Obtain a deep understanding of the operations.  Create relevant analytic reporting to guide and motivate teams

  • Work on creating and maintaining teammate annual bonus system

  • Assist the other business support team members (HR, legal) as needed

  • Build models to assess viability of new sales channels

  • Work with the business development team on pricing models

Qualifications

  • Experience in operational finance

  • Experience with long-term trajectories and building financial models

  • Passionate about sports

  • Positive, hands-on attitude with attention to detail and a desire to learn

  • Embrace responsibility and vitality 

  • Advanced analytical skills: Big data software experience, SQL, Google studio.  Experience with Oracle E-one and SAP preferred

  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel - (VLookup, PivotTable)

  • Able to travel within the Bay Area.  San Francisco Embarcadero office and Oakland warehouse
