Strong experience in SAP ABAP, with deep knowledge of:

SAP HANA & S/4HANA

Code optimization

ALV Reports

SMARTFORMS / SAPScript

BADIs, BAPIs

BDC, LSMW, Enhancement Framework

IDOCs, OOABAP, WebDynpro ABAP, Adobe Forms, Workflow

Expertise in performance optimization, including:

Optimizing ABAP programs, reports, modules

Parallel Processing (Parallel Cursor, ABAP Parallel Processing)

Asynchronous RFCs

Background Jobs (SM37 / job scheduling)

Parallelized SELECT using ADBC / AMDP

Experience designing & optimizing CDS Views (basic/composite/consumption).

Hands-on experience with AMDP, SQLScript, Table Functions.

Strong HANA Database optimization:

Joins, aggregations, pushed-down logic

Performance tools: ST05, ST12, SAT, SE30, PlanViz

Strong understanding of Fiori performance, CDS associations, OData tuning.

Experience migrating legacy ABAP to S/4-optimized code.

Ability to design reusable and scalable ABAP objects.

Responsibilities

Analyze, tune, and optimize ABAP code for runtime performance.

Implement parallel processing architectures for large datasets.

Design, optimize, and troubleshoot CDS views, associations, and Fiori entities.

Optimize ABAP-to-HANA interactions using:

AMDP

SQLScript

Table Functions

Collaborate with Basis/Functional teams to resolve performance bottlenecks.

Implement small and large-scale enhancements within SAP solutions.

Define & enforce best practices across SAP ABAP and S/4HANA performance standards.

Support:

UAT testing

Production operations

Release management

Contribute to SAP upgrades and performance monitoring of technical objects.

Develop and enhance:

BAPIs, BADIs

RFCs, IDOCs

BDC logic, user exits

SAPScript/Smart Forms development

Support COE activities and governance for SAP processes.

Required Skills & Experience

Full lifecycle SAP implementation experience in a Center of Excellence environment.

Strong communication & interpersonal skills; ability to work with business, IT, and vendors.

Direct hands-on experience with:

CDS Views, OData services

ABAP Parallel Processing (Cursor, RFC, Jobs, Batch)

AMDP, Table Functions

Advanced performance tuning across ABAP & HANA

Proficient with:

ST05, ST12, ATC, SAT, STAD

Code Inspector & optimization tools

Strong knowledge of:

Data Dictionary

ALV, Classical & Interactive Reports

SAP Scripts & Smart Forms

Enhancement Framework

BAPIs

ALE/IDOCs

OOABAP

PI/XI, BSP

Workflow

Experience with:

IDocs, Proxies, Webservices
