Senior Control System Engineer

Hagerstown, MD

Salary: $85K/year

Job Description & Skill Requirement:

Key Job Responsibilities

• Primary responsibility will be to develop Machine Control Software using Model Based development in Matlab, Simulink.

• Understand desired vehicle functionality and subsequently transform the requests into functional software 

• Ensure design compliance to various regulations and standards across multiple regions and market

• Use customer ECU hardware platform for machine control development

• Utilize Controller Area Network (CAN) tools, proprietary programming tools, test benches

• Participate in validation / regression test of software

• Test/Debug source code when needed

• You will assist in planning & documentation and direction of relevant activities through all phases of innovation and development

• You will direct preparation of layouts, drawings, specification, and bills of material when necessary

Primary Skills

• 7+ Years of Industry experience with off-highway or automotive vehicles

• Strong Control Systems Design & Development Background

• Strong Hands-on experience with Matlab /Simulink and similar tools 

• Knowledge of Controller Area Networks (CAN) and related standards for vehicle communications, such as SAE J1939

Secondary Skills

• Multi-faceted knowledge of vehicle electronic, hydraulic, and powertrain systems

• Sensor selection/integration
