Cypress.io is revolutionary open source testing software for web applications, used and loved by tens of thousands of developers and QA engineers across the globe. Cypress recently completed our Series A financing, led by Bessemer Venture Partners, to power our next phase of rapid growth.
As a community marketing manager, you’ll own how our go-to-market strategy is executed through our community channels. These channels include our Cypress Ambassador program, meetups and events, and our owned community channels, including social accounts and community discussion channels like Discord. Cypress will rely on the community marketing manager to be the expert on where Cypress users, customers and fans gather online and how to best ensure or encourage accurate, educational and on-brand messaging across those channels. The goal of this role is to help our community expand in size and Cypress knowledge, ultimately becoming superfans of both the Cypress Test Runner and the Cypress Dashboard.
Growing, nurturing, and leveraging the Cypress Ambassador program for scaled Cypress awareness and education.
Providing marketing and messaging support for Cypress/testing-focused speaking opportunities.
Owning Cypress’s events strategy, ensuring cohesive, strategic product messaging and an on-brand experience.
Measuring and reporting on success of community channels to drive Cypress awareness and trials of the Cypress Dashboard.
If you’re a good fit for this role you probably have:
3-5 years experience in a developer-focused marketing role or company
Deep knowledge of how to leverage marketing channels to distribute content and drive product trials
A passion for organization and detail orientation that ensures no task falls through the cracks.
Experience organizing and executing high-impact events and sponsorships.
Experience writing short form content (social posts, talk descriptions, emails/posts to customers/advocates.
Ability to adapt to the voice and tone of the brand you’re representing.
