Company Description

Responsible to manage all aspects of materials flow and to maintain control and accuracy over all goods/inventories to ensure inventory adequacy and accuracy. This position is also responsible for shipping, receiving, logistics and storage of goods including warehouse/logistics. Working in junction with other functions in Operations including purchasing, manufacturing, and global corporate supply chain and Finance.

Job Description

  • Develop and implement area work schedules and assignments to ensure efficient continuous operations.
  • Ensure that all receiving operations comply with warehouse policies by leading a team that focuses on proper product selection, packing, and maintaining good security habits at dock doors; unloading trucks and leading the way in ensuring that all orders are received.
  • Ensure the efficient and safe operation of material handling equipment.   
  •  Ensure the accuracy of all order fulfillment documents.
  •  Assist in resolving any discrepancies and managing the group to ensure accuracy is maintained.
  • Work with Operations Manager to correct any issues that may arise
  • Coordinate the timely, efficient, and cost-effective shipment and receipt of materials, equipment, and supplies for all functional areas of company.
  •  Maintain regulatory compliance and high levels of accuracy in materials inventory as measured by cycle counting.
  • Maintain compliance to GMP systems in coordination with the Document Control and Quality Assurance functions.
  • Assist in eliminating non-value added steps throughout the value system.
  •  Be aware of the Company’s Quality Policy.
  • Handle all potentially Biohazardous material with generally accepted precautions and per the company’s SOPs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school degree or equivalent, AA preferred, and at least 4-6 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and related experience; previous professional supervisory experience is required.
  • Requires skills in leadership, organization, communication, and cross functional teamwork.
  • Requires understanding of warehousing operations with experience in a distribution and/or manufacturing environment.
  •  The ability to lift up to 70 lbs. is required.
  • Flexible workweek, hours may vary. Extended hours may be required based on business needs.
  • Ability to work effectively with others and be a team player
  • Computer software literate (MSOffice)
  • Good verbal and written skills
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and applicable Quality System Standards
  • Ability to perform activities to support product development, administration, manufacturing, and other company activities as identified by Senior Management
