Job Description

Are you a creative and ambitious analyst who desires opportunities to apply their skills and knowledge to critical business questions in support of our field sales organization and our commercial selling model? This position will report to the VP, Global Commercial Operations, and will support business initiatives, projects, and operations by developing insights through analytics allowing leadership to guide decisions linking pay to performance.

  • Assist in the design, development, distribution, administration, and reconciliation of Cutera’s Global commercial incentive compensation plans
  • Provide reporting and forecasting of variable compensation payments and expense recognition
  • Identify financial reporting needs and develop appropriate solutions that meet or exceed requirements.
  • Perform financial and operating analysis that results in the identification of process and financial improvements.
  • Proactively reconcile pay data and develop processes and systems to prevent errors
  • Act as the primary point of contact for calculating and answering inquiries on commissions
  • Analyze financial data, including past results, create financial models for decision support, identify trends and make recommendations for improvements
  • Draft, deliver, collect, and organize new compensation plans on an annual and ad-hoc basis
  • Provides in-depth analytical support in modeling new plan provisions and developing reports and identifies continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Act as liaison between Finance and Sales teams with regards to sales commissions
  • Identify and drive standard methodologies and operational improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and dashboards
  • Increase efficiency by developing automated reports and/or forecasting tools
  • Interact with and support key decision-makers in various areas of the business
  • Responsible for month-end revenue recognition analysis and account entries in accordance with SOX procedures.
  • Assist with special projects and initiatives within the Commercial Operations, Accounting and Finance Teams

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent work experience
  • 4+ years professional experience in corporate finance, financial planning & analysis, accounting, or a related field with 1+ years experience in the administration of variable sales compensation plan
  • Ability to drive issues to closure, exercise independent judgment, critical thinking, decision making, and problem-solving skills plus takes initiative and is able to work independently and handle several projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication, presentation, collaboration, and partnership skills including the ability to synthesize information for senior management and present financial information to a non-financial audience.
  • Proven ability to manage details and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Microsoft Excel experience should be strong, allowing for the development of functions, formulas, pivot tables, importing/exporting of data, and integration with data visualization tools.
  • Experience with SAP and salesforce.com desirable
