Job Description
CustomShow is looking for a bright Inside Sales Representative to work as an important member of the sales team by researching target companies, identifying leads, qualifying them, and scheduling meetings between decision-makers and our Account Executives. Your main responsibility will be to open relationships with multiple people within our target clients, typically C-Level, VP and Director-level contacts in Marketing or Sales at well-known companies. This position is email- and phone-intensive and requires applicants to be outgoing, energetic and detail-oriented. There will be opportunities to be involved in the entire sales cycle, to learn about the SaaS marketplace and grow within the sales organization.
Candidates will need to manage and prioritize workflow in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility is important, as is the ability to meet performance metrics. Personally, applicants should have high energy, a positive attitude, and the ability to work well with a variety of people. Initiative is critical; a sense of humor is very helpful. Candidates must be comfortable working in an environment that emphasizes customer service, professionalism, ongoing learning, accountability, and quality-of-work life.
Compensation will consist of base salary plus commission. This position will report to the Director of Sales and has a potential career path into outside sales and/or sales management. This position will be based in New York City, NY.
Responsibilities include:
- Achieve monthly, quarterly and yearly pipeline and forecast goals and defined objectives.
- Identify prospective clients by researching industries and companies
- Use phone and/or email to make first contact with prospects and schedule meetings between prospects and our sales executives.
- Perform needs analysis and provide information about CustomShow through a consultative approach.
- Ensure that appropriate information and proposals are sent to clients in a timely fashion.
- Document all activities in Salesforce.com.
Qualifications
- Excellent researching, prospecting and closing skills
- Enthusiasm for making calls and sending emails every day
- Passion for sales, including curiosity, win/win customer approach, competitiveness, and tenacity
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work with individuals at all levels. Must be a team player who can also work independently and maintain a high level of productivity.
- Comfort with technology
- College degree and/or equivalent experience
- Experience with software sales (especially software-as-a-service) a plus
