Job Description

Your Opportunity

As our Senior Manager, Treasury Risk & Operations, you'll play a critical role in strengthening Treasury's first-line risk management, governance, data risk and operating control environment. Reporting to the Head of Treasury, you'll ensure Treasury frameworks, controls and reporting processes remain robust, scalable and aligned to regulatory expectations.

You'll also make an impact by:

  • Owning Treasury's first-line risk management framework, controls and governance processes. 
  • Leading policy, procedure and documentation uplift to support audit readiness and regulatory compliance. 
  • Overseeing daily Treasury market risk and liquidity reporting quality, accuracy and issue escalation. 
  • Driving data governance, data quality and lineage controls across Treasury reporting and analytical outputs.
  • Supporting ALCO reporting, Treasury strategy initiatives and regulatory engagement activities. 
  • Managing Treasury's credit risk framework including counterparty monitoring and annual reviews.

Qualifications

What You'll Bring

To succeed in this role, you'll have:

  • Demonstrated Treasury, financial risk or balance sheet risk management experience within banking or financial services. 
  • Strong experience in first-line risk management including policy ownership, controls and audit management. 
  • Exposure to data governance, data risk management and reporting controls. 
  • Experience preparing committee papers and supporting governance forums such as ALCO. 
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and written communication skills. 
  • Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Economics, Commerce or a related discipline. 

You'll stand out if you have:

  • Experience with Treasury or ALM system implementation or migration projects. 
  • Knowledge of APRA prudential standards including APS 210, APS 117 and APS 111. 
  • Credit risk analysis experience including counterparty assessment and limit monitoring. 
  • Professional qualifications such as CFA or postgraduate studies in finance or risk management.
