Job Description
We are looking for a motivated, Accounts Payable Manager, to join our dynamic Financial Operations team on a 12-month maximum term contract!
Your Opportunity
The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for delivery of a range of financial processing services for Cuscal related entities to key stakeholders in line with Cuscal policies by, ensuring the day-to-day activities associated with processing of supplier invoices and external contractor, client, regulatory or contractual payments are actioned timely and accurately.
You’ll also make an impact by:
- Ensuring payments, credit notes, and refunds are processed in compliance with financial policies, controls and procedures
- Facilitating internal transfers, international, ad hoc or urgent payments
- Approving and release payment files
- Monitoring accounts to ensure timely payments
- Ensuring prompt resolution of internal/external supplier queries
- Attending to or escalate internal/external supplier issues
- Reviewing and approve vendor details and maintenance of vendor database
- Ensuring appropriate approvals and delegation of authority assigned/obtained
- Co-ordinating administration of Corporate Card, staff expense reimbursements, travel, cab-charge and corporate bank accounts
- Ensuring applicable policies and guidelines are kept up to date
- Working co-operatively with the team to meet operational objectives and assist manager with ad hoc duties, reporting and deliverables
- Contributing to applicable improvement initiatives
Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you’ll have:
- Experience in managing an Accounts Payable/Financial Processing function in mid to large organisation
- Practise of following applicable compliance and business process controls in relation to handling of payments. May be acquired through academic or on the job training or a combination of these
- Strong proven experience of processing financial and accounts payable transactions
- High level of ability to analyse, interpret and evaluate data
- Ability to perform reconciliations and calculations
- Computer literacy; in finance software and advanced PC skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel & Word and Outlook)
You’ll stand out from the crowd if you have some of the following:
- Experience with Financial accounting software systems (Workday)
