Job Description

Your Opportunity 

We’re looking for an AI Governance Lead to join our Artificial Intelligence team.

In this role, you’ll leverage your technical skills to develop, maintain, and support innovative solutions that solve real-world challenges in the payments industry. From designing and building scalable systems to ensuring seamless integration with key technologies, your work will directly impact millions of users. 

You’ll also make an impact by: 

  • Helping the organisation use AI safely, responsibly, and compliantly.
  • Enable AI delivery while managing risk and regulatory expectations.
  • Establishing, embedding, and uplifting Cuscal’s enterprise-wide AI governance, responsible AI practices, and AI risk management frameworks.
  • Ensuring AI governance is effectively managed and monitored across Cuscal. 
  • Drive all initiatives through AI governance policies, standards & guidelines. 
  • Ensuring AI risks are effectively identified, assessed, managed, and monitored across Cuscal. 

Qualifications

What you’ll bring 

To succeed in this role, you’ll have: 

  • Deep understanding of global AI regulations & standards at practical level
  • Strong governance, risk & compliance expertise 
  • Technical literacy to oversee AI systems
  • Ethical AI leadership and responsible data-use fluency
  • Strategic leadership and business alignment skills
  • Curiosity and desire to continuously learn 

You’ll stand out from the crowd if you have some of the following:

  • Background in risk, compliance, data, technology, or AI
  • Risk Frameworks: Strong knowledge of risk management and IT frameworks and standards such as ITIL, ISO 27001, NIST, COBIT, and relevant APRA guidelines (CPS234, CPG235, CPS230, CPS220)
