Job Description

We are looking for a Financial Analyst to join our Finance function to support the company’s communication with the investment community.

What is this role about?

In this newly created role, you will report directly to the CFO and be responsible for analysing internal and external financial data, preparing key reports and creating presentations and other materials for investors, analysts and shareholders.


Here's more of what you’ll work on:

1) Financial Analysis & Reporting

  • Maintain up-to-date financial models to project future performance and understand key business drivers.
  • Develop valuation models to assess company valuation
  • Analyse and interpret the company’s financial performance (Corporate, Divisional & Domain), identifying trends and key metrics to support investor relations activities.
  • Preparation of quarterly earnings reports, earnings call scripts, investor presentations, and annual reports.
  • Perform benchmarking and competitive analysis by comparing the company’s financial and operational performance to peers within the industry.

2) Market Intelligence and Competitive Analysis

  • Track stock performance, analyst ratings, and relevant financial news affecting the company and its peers.
  • Conduct research on market trends, macroeconomic factors, and industry dynamics that may impact investor perception and sentiment.
  • Summarize insights from equity research reports, highlighting key areas of interest for the IR and executive teams. 

3) Investor and Analyst Engagement

  • Conduct research on current and potential investors, tracking institutional ownership and identifying trends in the shareholder base.
  • Prepare briefing materials and summary reports for executive leadership ahead of investor meetings, conferences, and roadshows.
  • Support responses to investor and analyst inquiries, providing accurate and timely information while adhering to ASX regulatory and company guidelines.

4) Communication and Investor Presentation Preparation

  • Conduct research on current and potential investors, tracking institutional ownership and identifying trends in the shareholder base.
  • Prepare briefing materials and summary reports for executive leadership ahead of investor meetings, conferences, and roadshows
  • Track stock performance, analyst ratings, and relevant financial news affecting the company and our competitors. 
  • Conduct research on market trends, macroeconomic factors, and industry dynamics that may impact investor perception and sentiment.
  • Collaborate with Investor Relations team to ensure that financial messaging is consistent, transparent and aligned with strategic objectives. 

Qualifications

What can you bring?

  • CPA/CFA or CA qualified with 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, investor relations, corporate finance, or a related area.
  • Intermediate/Advanced knowledge and use of Excel, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with TM1 or similar multi-dimension planning analytics tools.
  • Tertiary qualification in in Accounting/Finance discipline
  • Have strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Bring the ability to collaborate and influence.

Although not required, any experience in the following would be highly regarded:

  • Previous experience in a public company or financial services is advantageous
  • Experience within retail banking or payments
