Job Description

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our Shared Services Domain.

The Shared Services Group provides the operations, process improvement and shared core banking and technology applications that enable and support Cuscal’s business units. The portfolio of applications and technology services is large and broad, including core systems and gateways, settlement and disputes, billing, and client portals and access management.

As the DevOps  Engineer you will manage the site reliability activities, capacity, resilience and life cycle management of the platforms.

As the DevOps Engineer you will be responsible for the following:

  • Provide ongoing support for Cuscal applications in a production environment, ensuring high availability and reliability.
  • Plan and execute lifecycle management activities, including upgrades, patches, and maintenance.
  • Implement and maintain monitoring tools to track application performance, proactively identify issues, and ensure optimal operation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to diagnose and resolve application issues promptly.
  • Identify opportunities for automation to streamline repetitive tasks and improve efficiency in application management.
  • Respond to and resolve production incidents, minimizing downtime and ensuring quick recovery.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, procedures, and configurations.
  • Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including IT operations, development, security, and vendors, to ensure smooth operation and continuous improvement of the application.
  • Ensure applications meets all security and compliance requirements, implementing necessary controls and updates.

 

Qualifications

To be successful in this position you will have skills and experience in the following technologies:

  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, Support Engineer, or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of production support and lifecycle management.
  • Proficiency in monitoring tools and techniques (e.g. Splunk, BMC Helix etc.)
  • Experience with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Bash, Python).
  • Familiarity with containerisation and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
  • Experience in building CICD Platform, developing CI/CD workflows and tools.
  • Strong experience on CICD tools such as GitHub, GitHub Action, Azure Pipelines, Bamboo etc.
  • Cloud infrastructure and services (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.)
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
  • Experience with COTS applications and vendor collaboration is preferred.
