Curry Up Now is a rapidly growing Indian fast casual restaurant.  From our first food truck in 2009 to 5 trucks at the present time along with 3 Brick & Mortar stores and an ultra cool bar, we are in the midst of some pretty cool growth.  Our next store opens in San Jose later this year.  We're not top heavy.  Over 90% of our staff works on the restaurants and trucks.  At this time, we are upgrading and expanding our core corporate team.   We are already the largest purveyor of Indian Street Food in the US and are primed for growth in 2015 and beyond...

Our food and concept is fresh, fast and bursting with flavor.   We offer contemporary food menus along with a large Gluten-Free, Vegan & Vegetarian menus. 

Job Description


The Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing and tracking marketing programs that increase brand exposure and restaurant and food truck sales in the entire Bay Area.s. 


The Restaurant Marketing Manager will require a thorough understanding of business and marketing strategy and will become the Brand Ambassador for Curry Up Now in the Bay Area and beyond. This includes excellent communication skills with restaurant staff, vendors, food writers and bloggers, Newspapers, local businesses and the community. It also requires the ability to project manage, multi-task and problem solve in a fast-paced environment.

JOB REQUIREMENTS


  • Understand and communicate marketing strategy and objectives to the CEO, restaurant management and staff
  • Partner with Restaurant & Food Truck Managers to plan and execute sales building activities that will build relationships, which will increase customer count, check average and outside sales
  • Deploy web, social media, email, collateral, merchandise, and other communications effectively with corporate support team
  • Coordinate partner, community, vendor relationships, and charitable donations
  • Establish goodwill and build relationships within the community and with the restaurant’s overall fast casual, QSR food concept
  • Identify and capitalize on strategic partners that complement the restaurant brand
  • Plan and execute marketing events in coordination with restaurant
  • Collect and analyze data to improve marketing programs
  • Assists and/ or completes additional tasks as assigned
  • Must clearly be able to demonstrate growth in sales as a result of marketing efforts


OTHER REQUIREMENTS


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, or similar discipline
  • 2-5 years professional experience in Marketing, Public Relations, Sales, Advertising, or Publishing with a demonstrated track record of driving results
  • Industry experience in managing/ marketing fast casual restaurant concepts is a  big plus
  • Opening experience preferred
  • Must possess an entrepreneurial spirit and be creative and innovative with marketing approaches
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to Company standards
  • Proficient in Windows Office, Microsoft Office, Mac OSX, Powerpoint
  • Knowledge of online technology and implementation with particular interest in blogs, social networks, virtual worlds, wiki’s, mobile and other emerging trends- including but not limited to Facebook and Twitter, Instagram, and Wordpress etc.
  • Superior knowledge of Social Media landscape, networks, toolsets
  • Management of a professional blog for an organization and/or business
