Job Description

The role is a consolidated role of the warehousing & distribution controller as well as the controller for Current's Cleveland manufacturing facility.  This is to cover a maternity leave (including time to train with employee).  The assignment will be approximately 5 months.

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Partnering with operations at both the plant and distribution center level
  • Provide financial analysis around spend and process improvement
  • Perform month end closing activities for both business operations.  

Specific tasks are listed below:

Daily:

  • Manage freight broker invoices and payments
  • Approve purchase requisitions for Ivanhoe and distribution centers
  • Fixed Asset management
  • Daily operation pulses
  • General Ledger and Cost Center accounting
  • Product costing for Ivanhoe Manufacturing

Weekly:

  • Collect inputs from all manufacturing sites and present plant operations reporting package to senior leadership
  • Present warehouse spending analytics (actual versus forecast versus plan) to senior leadership
  • Finance representation on freight broker system transition
  • Prepare plant performance package for Ivanhoe manufacturing to be presented in operations reporting package

Monthly:

  • Journal entry preparation for Distribution centers, Ivanhoe Manufacturing, Shipping and Customs
  • SAP month end closing Jobs for Ivanhoe Manufacturing (cost splitting, actual price determination, Work in Process Inventory calculation, Variance calculation, Cost Collector settlement)
  • Cost center absorption allocation
  • Month end cost center and general ledger analysis
  • Account reconciliation

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of Cost Accounting experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • Supply Chain Finance experience desirable.
  • Significant analytical and quantitative skill set.
  • Strong decision-making, multi-tasking, and execution abilities under tight deadlines.
  • Experience with SAP preferable, and MS Office (or equivalents) desirable.
  • Demonstrated success working among cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment

Compensation

The position has a compensation package inclusive of base, bonus (if eligible), benefits, 401k contribution, time off, recognition awards and more.  This salary range is $80-95,000.
