Job Description

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for providing leadership to the General Accounting, Accounts Payable,  Accounts Receivable, Cash Application and Credit Teams within the HLI Solutions organization..  The position will report into the Assistant Controller.  The leader will partner closely with the other members of the finance team in Cleveland, as well as the EXL in India.  

Finance and Accounting Leadership:   

  • Provide leadership and guidance for the close process
  • Provide leadership to the Accounts Receivable, Cash Application, and credit teams, and implement business process changes
  • Provide recommendations to improve DSO (Days Sales Outstanding)
  • Provide leadership for the Accounts Payable function
  • Make recommendations to improve working capital and DPO (Days Payable Outstanding)
  • Develop a solid understanding of the financial statements and prepare analysis and commentary
  • Function as a liaison with auditors
  • Assist with preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements, and the bank reporting packages
  • Review monthly and quarterly account reconciliations

Team Leadership

  • Leverage strength of current finance team member, assisting in clarifying roles and responsibilities
  • Develop and implement training programs, and work with team members on desk procedures
  • Communicate policies, procedures and concerns across the organization as needed  

Qualifications

The desired candidate will be well versed in accounting principles, including revenue recognition, and inventory costing. The Accounting Manager will have a solid foundation to research technical matters and arrive at GAAP compliant recommendations and implement as needed.  The candidate will have integrity, credibility, and unwavering commitment.  A proactive, hands-on manager who will partner with the Assistant Controller and Global Controller to improve the accounting and shared services operations.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • CPA and/or MBA preferred
  • SAP experience required
  • 7+ years professional experience in accounting and/or finance
  • Management experience required
  • GAAP and IFRS knowledge required
  • Industry and public accounting experience preferred

Compensation

The position has a compensation package inclusive of base, bonus (if eligible), benefits, 401k contribution, time off, recognition awards and more.  This salary range is 105,000-130,000.
