Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Engineering Applications Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and administration of engineering applications, including CAD, CAM, CAE, and PLM systems. The Lead Engineering Applications Administrator will also be responsible for managing a team of administrators and supporting end-users to ensure the smooth operation of the applications.
Responsibilities:
• Design, configure, and maintain engineering applications, including CAD, CAM, CAE, and PLM systems
• Develop and implement system administration procedures, including backup and recovery processes, security management, and system monitoring
• Provide technical leadership to a team of administrators, including mentoring, training, and performance management
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the applications, working closely with end-users and vendors as necessary
• Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate engineering applications with other enterprise systems
• Monitor and evaluate system performance, identifying opportunities for optimization and improvement
• Manage application upgrades, ensuring compatibility with other enterprise systems and minimizing downtime
• Maintain documentation related to the applications, including system design, installation, and configuration details
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to the applications, including data security and privacy
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in engineering application administration, including CAD, CAM, CAE, and PLM systems
• Strong technical skills in system administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of enterprise applications
• Demonstrated experience managing a team of administrators
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with end-users, vendors, and other IT teams
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to engineering applications, including data security and privacy
