Job Description

The Current Senior Inventory and Costing Analyst is responsible for leading the oversight, analysis and reporting of Inventory related accounting and standard costing. This role partners heavily cross-functionally with Supply Chain (Manufacturing, Sourcing and Distribution) to develop supply chain strategies to accelerate cost optimization and margin management. Proactively leads and delivers relevant, actionable analysis and recommendations to supply chain and controlling leadership team.
 
Essential Responsibilities:

  • Support monthly and quarterly closing process for all plant sites, including cost accounting accruals, inventory costing, obsolescence / slow moving reserves, production order accounting and consequent balance sheet reviews and account reconciliations.
  • Heavy involvement developing inventory aging metrics working closely with Supply Chain, Product Management and Commercial teams to optimize inventory levels, mitigate slow moving and obsolescence risk.
  • Lead periodic inventory standard setting process including material standards, activity rates (Labor, Ovhd, Freight, Outside processing) and understanding shop floor Bills of Material and Routings while working with Sourcing and Manufacturing teams.
  • Prepare inventory reports for monthly borrowing base submissions.
  • Document all critical processes and reports by creating clear and easy to follow SOP’s.
  • Develop meaningful reports out of SAP and BI to help support decision making by business leaders.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of Cost Accounting experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • Supply Chain Finance experience desirable.
  • Significant analytical and quantitative skillset.
  • Strong decision-making, multi-tasking and execution abilities under tight deadlines.
  • Experience with SAP preferable, and MS Office (or equivalents) desirable.
  • Demonstrated success working among cross functional teams in a manufacturing environment.

Compensation

The position has a compensation package inclusive of base, bonus (if eligible), benefits, 401k contribution, time off, recognition awards and more.  This salary range is 80,000-115,000.
