Job Description


The Controller serves as the finance business partner to the Plant Manager and Divisional leadership team by providing financial leadership to the operations in the planning and execution of business goals and objectives, and in the management of SG&A. The Controller manages the financial performance of the business including: administering internal controls, payroll, planning, forecasting, reporting, and analyzing business drivers, risks, and operational metrics

Essential Responsibilities: 

  • Develop & manage weekly/monthly financial reports to assist operations team optimize plant performance
  • Responsible for all recurring financial rhythms such as monthly financial close (journal entries & accruals), budget setting both annual and monthly, forecasting & variance analysis
  • Prepare and present plant performance and financial results to Senior Management
  • Lead and Co-ordinate activities such as physical inventory, setting cost standards for labor and overhead routings and rates in SAP, cycle counts, communication with production and engineering team to follow up on labor routings and variances.
  • Manage all Variable and Fixed Cost associated with the Plant
  • Provide a business partnering service to the Plant Manager by improving financial processes and support plant leadership to help drive operational performance.
  • Create & maintain reporting tools & templates to facilitate production of financial reports and analysis of production and inventory management (Raw in Process and FGs)
  • Analyze, interpret, and provide meaningful insights from multiple data sets (SAP, BI, OneStream) 
  • Continually drive process improvement & automate financial reporting of plant spend, standard cost & variances
  • Partner with broader Supply Chain Finance team to drive simplification initiatives across multiple functions

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of Finance experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting/finance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to use BI and reporting tools for quantitative analysis
  • Demonstrate good business and commercial judgement
  • Advanced problem resolution and written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong leadership abilities, experienced in working in a matrix managed environment Strong decision-making, multi-tasking and execution abilities under tight deadlines
  • Experience with SAP, OneStream and MS Office (or equivalents) required
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s  Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business from an accredited institution
  • CPA or CMA

Compensation

The position has a compensation package inclusive of base, bonus (if eligible), benefits, 401k contribution, time off, recognition awards and more.  This salary range is 103,000-150,000.
