Curate develops a SaaS platform that automates the tedious parts of event planning. Florists, caterers, wedding coordinators and corporate party planners depend on us to deliver flawless experiences everyday. Our beloved software makes it easy to organize all the information they need for an event and turn it into gorgeous proposals, accurate recipes, and streamlined wholesale orders, saving them time and making them more profitable.

Job Description

We are looking for a driven and ambitious SMB Account Executive to join our rapidly growing organization. This is a unique opportunity to use your knowledge of catering, event management and/or software to drive new business to the Curate platform. You will be responsible for handling a healthy volume of inbound calls, quickly connecting with our ideal customers and helping small business owners solve huge problems. You don’t need a wealth of experience but we do want someone who is coachable, eager to grow and ready to close deals. We have high intent leads. We have a proven sales process. We have hundreds of happy customers. We need the right salespeople to help us expand into a new vertical. 

Day-To-Day:

  • Respond to a steady pipeline of inbound leads to address current business pain
  • Run consultation meetings with SMB executives to establish opportunities for both Curate and the customer
  • Effectively communicate our value proposition and what makes Curate unique in the marketplace
  • Listens to customer product feedback and then clearly communicates with our product team in the voice of the customer.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer activity to ensure proper call frequency and follow-up
  • Execute the full sales cycle from initial call to demo and eventually closing deals
  • Become an industry expert, educating caterers and sharing valuable business strategies for running their business.
  • Meet and exceed assigned revenue goals
  • Provide input on sales training, automation, account load management, and strategy implementation plans for new products
  • Execute on previously established guidelines, processes, and company principles
     

 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in business, related field OR equivalent experience
  • 1+ year of relevant experience in sales - client facing or consulting
  • Driven to succeed and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in time management, setting priorities, and taking an initiative
  • Track record of performance against defined metrics
  • Exceptional organizational, presentation, and communication skills - phone, email, and Zoom
  • Technical expertise and ability to acquire knowledge of new products
  • Understand and apply effective business development strategies and techniques
  • A passion for building new business
  • Willingness to work in a collaborative work environment

Preferred

  • SaaS Inbound selling into SMBs
  • Experience working with Hubspot or other CRM platforms
  • Background in these industries: catering, florists, rentals or other event professionals
  • Experience in a startup sales team
  • Based in St. Louis (Remote OK)
