We currently have an exciting opportunity within Eventor– Eventor are specialists in providing bespoke logistic solutions of every kind for motorsport, music, events, exhibitions, and the nuclear industry. They transport, build, maintain and store anything and everything for every type of event.

As part of our, Eventor division, we have an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Transport Planner.

Salary: £30,000-34,000 per annum, depending on experience

Shift:: Monday-Friday, 08:00-18:00, with ad hoc weekend and night shifts

As a Transport Planner within Eventor, you will be responsible for creating effective transport plans that maximise the use of available resources, ensuring all schedules comply with Working Time Directive (WTD) and EU Drivers’ Hours legislation. You will work to meet customer requirements, allocate work efficiently across the resource pool, and support the achievement and continuous improvement of agreed customer service targets.

Key Duties of a Transport Planner:

• Ensuring GTS housekeeping is constantly completed
• Depot logs are completed by specified time
• Input trailer numbers as soon as practical to do so
• Monitor and report empty legs for shift
• Monitor Time lapse and Restricted parking reports by specified time
• Complete Microlise debrief by specified time
• Report Microlise errors to central team
• Check resource availability for the shift
• Confirm driver start times for next day
• Monitor and report WTD issues / concerns to Operations team
• Ensuring there is ongoing verbal communication with the driving team to supplement the use of Microlise
• Ensuring there is clear daily communication between shifts
• Managing drivers’ hours in relation to customer requirements and volume demand
• Understanding and achieving specific targets regarding utilisation, loaded, empty legs
• Supporting the Transport Manager with all required Back-to-Back prep
• Undertaking Back-to-Back tracking during F1 season with regular updates to team and Customers

What you’ll need ...

• Working knowledge of WTD and EU Drivers Hours (Core)
• CPC National Qualification (Desirable)
• Working knowledge of GTS
• Understanding of F1 Customer Contracts and back to back arrangements
• IT Literate including Microsoft word, excel and outlook
• Ability to question, challenge and improve upon existing processes.
• Ability to establish effective working relationships.
• Be able to work to tight deadlines.
• Ability to multi-task with a calm and flexible approach.
