Job Description

Our Aylesford site have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Trainer to join our team on a full time, permanent basis.

Salary: £37,000 per annum. 

Working hours: Monday-Friday, 6am-4pm. 

The purpose of a Warehouse Trainer is to provide professional training in the use of various types of Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE), giving up to date instruction on the safe and correct operating techniques for the equipment.

Key Duties of a Warehouse Trainer:

 

  • Assist with and contribute to key and basic skills training in line with Company requirements.
  • To work with the warehouse team and ensure that targets for achievements & training are met.
  • Supervise all training activities relating to Mechanical Handling Equipment.
  • Carry out risk assessments.
  • To advise on future staff development needs for manual handling, health and safety, forklift and MHE training.
  • Carry out inductions and train all new employees.
  • Weekly audit the site BRC processes to ensure that we are compliant at all times.
  • To ensure training matrix and training files are kept up to date with achievements, targets and progress.
  • Undertake general warehouse operative duties when training is not being carried out.
  • Advise operational mangers of any changes and developments in legislation and impact on training/MHE.
  • To liaise with suppliers to ensure all MHE is operational.

Qualifications

  • RTITB Qualified trainer.
  • Educated to GCSE level.
  • Must hold a full Driving licence.
  • Minimum 2 years experience of working as MHE trainer.
  • Initiative and the ability to work unsupervised.
  • Able to work to challenging deadlines in a pressurised environment.
  • Proficiency in Word and Excel.
  • Good written and excellent verbal communication skills.
