Job Description

As an IPS Project Engineer you will be involved in the planning, development and execution of capital projects. You will work with key project stakeholders across the business to ensure that fit for purpose technical solutions are provided. While helping to deliver capital projects you will also identify and provide solutions for equipment effectiveness inclusive of maintenance and improvements.

You must be able to identify, document and train others on the maintenance and optimisation of key equipment. Project Engineers must be a role model for engineering excellence, setting the highest standards whilst demonstrating the business behaviours at all times.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 08.00-16.00 (Flexibility is required)

Key Duties of Project Engineers: 

  • Assist in planning, design and execution of engineering project management
  • Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, including clients and contractors.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality and environmental requirements
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports and technical specifications
  • Managing third party contractors and team members to develop viable time scales and working practices
  • Provide technical support and guidance to team members

Qualifications

  • Experience working with food packaging machinery is essential
  • Must be able to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Must be able to communicate efficiently to key stakeholders within the business
  • Experience in fault finding, analysis and Lean Manufacturing Principles is key
  • Must have good attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Process improvement experience
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Must have a minimum of level 4 certificate in Engineering (preferably electrically bias)
  • IOSH 
  • Fabrication Experience

Must have experience in the following:

  • Project installation and fault finding ( HV and LV)
  • Panel building
  • PLC – S7, Allen Bradley, Omron
  • Computer literacy
