A Highly motivated and driven individual to lead the National Planning Team for the Warrens business

Contributing to the transformation of the business, the role will be responsible in driving through to change and improvement following the implementation of a new TMS systems across all sites within Warrens.  This will include coaching and mentoring of the planning team and collaboration with the key stakeholders in the transport and warehouse teams. Once important role forms part of the senior Warrens management team.

  • Previous experience required in managing a team that works on various shifts over a 7 day working cycle
  • In depth transport knowledge including national planning, compliance and legislation of a transport fleet in order to maximize the new system
  • Proven experience on working within the FMCG sector ideally the fresh food sector
  • Deliver a high level of customer service in a fast paced environment.
  • Proven ability to drive on costs and efficiency with a transport operation.
  • To understand the mechanics of sub contraction management and to build relationships with those providers
  • To be the senior member of the team between the systems and all other departments within Warrens
  • To be able to provide relevant data from the systems in supporting the planning, finance and transport departments
  • To build relationships with the clients and to provide an integrated systems solution including ongoing support and reporting
  • Ensuring effective planning and resource allocation to maximize the fleet profitability

  • Be able to communicate well at all levels within the business.
  • Be able to make decisions under pressure, and to a tight timescale.
  • Able to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.
  • Able to manage their own time to achieve daily targets.
  • Have excellent problem solving, analytical and organizational skills
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft packages.
  • Common operating systems
