What's the role?

Shift: 5 from 7 Days

Salary: £27,000

Stobart have an excellent opportunity for a passionate and enthusiastic Customer Services Lead Controller to join our flagship depot in Appleton, Warrington.

Acting as the first point of contact for our customers, you will be involved in all aspects of our job consignments from beginning to end.

You will support the departmental managers in the day to day running of the shift and deputise for Team Leader absence as and when required. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic individual who is looking to start their career within management.

Main Responsibilities & Objectives: 

 

  • Support the departmental management team by providing seamless shift, holiday and short notice cover as required, including short term secondments – requiring flexibility in working hours and days
  • To assist in the training and development of new and existing staff on all procedures relevant to the department
  • An excellent knowledge of all departmental processes and procedures essential, along with a good overall understanding of core business operational functions
  • Involvement in regularly reviewing procedures and instructions, in conjunction with the management team, to ensure that they are current and reflect best practice, performing regular checks to monitor correct compliance, accuracy and efficiency at all times
  • Knowledge of the DWOR workings to include keeping up to date task timings and any additions or subtractions
  • To investigate new methods and ways of working to improve accuracy and cost efficiency within the team, and the business overall; making best use of company systems, understanding how they can best be utilised within the team

Qualifications

What kind of person are we looking for? 

  • We are looking for someone who has a passion for delivering great service, and has the ability to build rapport with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • You will have excellent communication skills and be a strong team player, driving team spirit forward.
  • A Customer Service background 
  • UK Driving License (due to location of the role)
