Job Description

Crown's busy Botcherby site has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager to join the operation. Reporting to and working closely with the General Manager, monitoring the day-to-day operation.

You will be tasked to deliver the optimum business performance whilst implementing operational plans to meet current business strategy.

You mainly would be working days Monday to Friday 08:00 - 18:00, however flexibility would be necessary to meet business needs.

Key responsibilities

  • Monitoring daily operation schedules for the customer contract ensuring accuracy and that daily operational goals are realised
  • Identify and implement warehouse efficiencies to reduce cost
  • Ensure that your team is trained and familiar with all operational procedures.
  • Oversee daily review and planning meetings with minutes and actions distributed as appropriate
  • Hold overall management for MHE equipment, ensuring all equipment is maintained and that VOR process is followed with forecasting/replacement programmes
  • Ensure maintenance programme schedule meets equipment guidelines and coincides within audit guidelines
  • Perform a daily walk through all areas of the operations and facilities and take appropriate corrective action with escalation where required
  • Action plans and CI Plans developed in line with Customer contract
  • SLA targets in line with customer contracts understood, published, achieved and maintained
  • Maintain and improve audit scoring in line with company standards to ensure legal compliance
  • Ensure that monthly health and safety meetings attended at site level with HSQE involvement quarterly
  • Manage accident reduction 5% year on year where appropriate
  • Conduct Team 5 briefings monthly with communication displayed on notice boards
  • Manage absenteeism and turnover to achieve a rate of below 3%
  • All appraisals completed every 6 months for your team with nil PDPs set as appropriate to respective individuals or PIP's where relevant

Qualifications

As the Warehouse Operations Manager, you will ideally have at least two years’ experience at Ops manager level and have a qualification in higher education. You will be forward thinking, dynamic and have a proven track record of delivering results.

You will have excellent communication skills and have the ability to build lasting relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, meeting customer expectations and responding to change.

You will have experience in presenting at board level and have the ability to formulate strategy and concepts, showcasing your entrepreneurial and commercial thinking.
