We are now recruiting for a Driver Trainer on a full time, permanent basis at our Bristol depot.

Job Description

As a Driver Trainer you will be expected to deliver driver related training, evaluate and monitor the impact of training on Culina Logistics Drivers.

Shift   Monday to Friday

Main responsilbities of a Driver Trainer

  • Deliver in house, periodic Driver CPC training.
  • Deliver training relating to drivers’ hours / tachographs / Working Time Directive rules and regulations to new starters and existing drivers
  • Use Fueltek and Microlise performance statistics and deliver training to proactively manage the driver performance                    
  • Provide new starter training / Inductions
  • Monitor and evaluate all training provided, assessing Culina needs and ensuring all needs are met at all times
  • Report (both verbal and written) on the ability and performance of drivers following all driver training courses undertaken, using counselling and coaching techniques as required
  • Keep and maintain up to date and accurate records of all driver training undertaken
  • Liaise with the Transport Management team as necessary in order to maximise benefits for all training provided, ensuring that all training is relevant and in line with best practice
  • Monitor the standard of Culina Drivers driving and provide information, advice and guidance to departments such as H&S, Transport and HR
  • Complete risk assessments and safe working practices for Culina sites customer sites and delivery points

Qualifications

Essential

  • Knowledge of Road Transport Directive and current drivers’ hours
  • Essential skills in LGV C&E Driving Licence
  • Adaptable approach to work / training
  • Excellent communication skills in order to deliver accurate information to trainees
  • Adaptable attitude, conscientious and reliable
  • Able to work efficiently and accurately under pressure
  • Effectively prioritise workload in order to meet set deadlines
  • A good standard of computer literacy, particularly MS Office applications
  • Able to work as part of a team or individually

Desirable

  • Qualified to Advanced Driving level would be desirable
