Our Tilbury site are now recruiting for a Transport Administrator on a full time basis.

Salary: £24,960 per annum + additional £2,271 nights premium 

Working Hours: 4 on 4 off, Days & Nights included 

Job Description

As a Transport Administrator you will provide general administration support to the Transport Department.

Key duties of a Transport Administrator: 

  • Correctly briefing and debriefing drivers
  • Checking all timesheets and ensuring all paperwork is correct
  • Printing all despatch notes and replenishing despatch paper as required
  • Answering the telephone and assisting with any enquiries
  • Downloading drivers’ cards/tachographs
  • Ensuring all ETA are communicated
  • Updating spreadsheets and reporting 
  • Departing loads using Transport Management System (TMS) and then inputting all loads that have departed
  • Ensuring all uplifts are despatched in correct loads

Qualifications

  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Adaptable approach to work and training
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to work efficiently and accurately under pressure
  • Effectively prioritise work load in order to meet set deadlines
  • Computer literate, particularly MS Office applications 
  • Able to work as part of a team or individually
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a major distribution operation
