We are recruiting for Customer Service Specialist to join our busy office in Lurgan. 

Job Description

A Customer Services Specialist has an important role in building the relationships between Morgan McLernon Limited and its customers.

The purpose of the job is to keep our customers and their customers (delivery points) informed of the progress and customs clearance of their loads. This requires clear, concise and timely oral and written communication.

Salary: £22,000 - £25,000 pa DOE 

Shift: Rotating 

  • 8 am - 4 pm and 11 am - 7 pm 
  • To include 1 in 3 weekends (time off in lieu within a working week)

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Arrange booking slots at depots as required.
  • Contact drivers for progress updates and revise times on TMS.
  • Generate CDR forms for any delivery non-conformances.
  • Maintain a timely flow of communication with customers by telephone, email and automated delivery reports.
  • Review and update the Customer Services Outstanding Delivery Report
  • Computerized data entry into multiple customs software packages.
  • Contacting suppliers to obtain relevant paperwork in relation to an import shipment.
  • Advising customers of transport details, enabling them to raise accurate customs declarations.
  • Processing Proof of Delivery documents (POD’s), checking all incidents have been reported and that the paperwork is stamped / signed correctly and scanning to TMS.
  • Calling drivers/sub-contractors to request missing paperwork to ensure receipt of payment for work completed
  • Collating data and conducting preliminary investigations into incidents and report findings.

The above list of responsibilities is not exhaustive, and you will be required to undertake other responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Good understanding of the logistics environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good oral and written communication.
  • Able to work both in a team and to use own initiative without direct supervision
  • Excellent organisation and analytical skills.
  • Flexible approach to work/training.
  • Effectively prioritise your workload to meet deadlines.
