Job Description

Part of the Culina Group, Culina Logistics – market leader in UK chilled shared user logistics. This was and still is the foundation business within Culina Group - is market leader in UK chilled shared user logistics. It currently has a portfolio of around 120 food and drink clients many of which are household names.

Joining Culina Logistics as Financial Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for all General Ledger and Financial Accounting matters within Culina Logistics.

Key Duties

  • Responsibility for the General Ledger team within Culina Logistics including team management of 3 Assistant Accountants and 1 Financial Accountant
  • Overall responsibility of the Accounts Payable team
  • Support the financial accounting for Group companies as required
  • Reviewing and submitting VAT returns ensuring correct VAT treatment has been applied
  • Delivery to the monthly reporting cycle in line with Group requirements 
  • Statutory Account preparation
  • Responsibility for overseeing and managing External Audit process
  • Full balance sheet ownership / responsibility
  • Key contact for finance system upgrade project
  • Liaison with the Group Tax team in relation to CT & VAT queries / support
  • Liaison with Group Treasury team in relation to banking matters
  • Deputise for Financial Controller as and when needed

Qualifications

  • Qualified accountant
  • SAP experience essential, it would be desirable if the occupant had experience of finance system transfer / development
  • Experienced Team Manager
  • Must have a high level knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Self-motivated and confident
  • Able to communicate effectively with all levels of management
