We are currently recruiting for  Engagement Coordinator on a full-time, permanent contract based at our Chesterfield site.

Job Description

Shift: Monday to Friday

Salary: £22,100 per annum

The Engagement Coordinator is designed to support the Site Leadership Team regarding engagement and retention for both new and existing employees. You will be involved from the employee’s initial on-boarding through to passing their probation and their career going forward, ensuring the employees receive an exceptional first impression and continued all round great experience.

As an Engagement Coordinator you will develop initiatives, engagement and incentives to improve job satisfaction, reduce turnover and support making Culina the employer of choice

Key accountabilities: 

  • Build relationships with the warehouse team and management team, working with all parties to understand challenges, gain feedback and identify potential issues
  • Investigate colleague feedback and analyse to understand potential implications
  • Track  and analyse new starter and leaver data, working alongside site HRBP to identify trends and projects to improve TO
  • Drive site engagement initiatives, designing and delivering an annual calendar of events
  • Liaise with stakeholders to organise quarterly GM updates ensuring forward planning and minimum business disruption
  • Work closely with site charity champion to promote initiatives and fundraise
  • Utilise internal communication methods to promote site events and successes across the group
  • Build relationships with Employee Forum representatives, ensure engagement and communication
  • Adhoc general administration as and when required
  • Update and create engaging notice boards around site
  • Managing our employee of the month and employee of the year awards, driving communication and participation
  • Keep updated with the market, identifying trends and best practice and making recommendations to the management team
  • Creation and distribution of a quarterly newsletter
  • Review applications through Smart Recruiter on a daily basis, liaise with Recruitment and site in order to organise interviews efficiently to ensure we capture as many candidates as possible
  • Assist with interviews as required
  • Call successful applicants prior to induction to explain what to expect and where to go
  • Conduct or contribute to inductions, focus on site engagement and what employees can expect from a career with us
  • Identify and suggests improvements in the all-round new starter experience utilising the data you obtain from the engagement and inclusion process.
  • Bring to the Site Leaderships attention the potential “Flight Risk” employees.
  • Identify and match in- house training opportunities with appropriate colleagues i.e. First Aiders, Fire Marshalls etc.
  • Engage with warehouse colleagues to create a pool of new starter buddies.
  • Feedback to Site Leadership on general areas of concern regarding the culture within the depot and recommendations for improvements
  • Engage with anyone who is exiting the business to obtain constructive feedback which you will collate and relay to the depots relevant site General Manager and HRBP and discuss a plan of improvements.

 

Qualifications

  • Demonstrable high energy and enthusiasm levels and passion for Culina and your site            
  • Strong communication skills and confident with dealing with people at all levels
  • A good standard of computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Office Applications i.e. Word and Excel or equivalent
  • Strong organisation skills
  • Able to work as part of a team or individually
  • Adaptable and flexible approach to work/ training/ working hours
  • Conscientious and reliable
  • Proactive and able to make decisions
  • Results driven
  • Good knowledge of logistics and supply chain operations
  • A good communicator who adapts to and promotes change
