We are actively recruiting for a full time Transport Administrator to join our Morgan McLernon site in Lurgan.

Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 per annum

Shifts: 3 week rotation to include every Saturday and 1 in 3 Sundays

Week 1: 11:00 – 19:00 Tuesday – Friday and 09:00 – 17:00 Saturday

Week 2: 11:00 – 19:00 Tuesday – Friday and 09:00 – 17:00 Saturday

Week 3: 11:00 – 19:00 Wednesday – Friday and 09:00 – 17:00 Saturday and Sunday

Job Description

 KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Update system with amendments from previous day.
  • Accept and control all new orders from customers.  Ensure all details are outlined for the planners to allow accurate arrangements for collections and deliveries.
  • Constant contact with customers and delivery points with updates of orders, as well as booking collections and deliveries.
  • Deal with clients, suppliers, drivers and general public to ensure queries are dealt with professionally and within a timely manner. 
  • Inputting jobs onto Manpac system.
  • Building logistic loads: adding drivers, registrations, trailers and boats and sending reports to inform all staff of this information.
  • Booking shipping for trucks and trailers.
  • Acquire special rates for one off delivery destinations.
  • Controlling the daily load intake.
  • Prepare daily reports with Customers to ensure accurate charging.
  • Prepare customer requests in accordance with customs requirements.
  • Prepare reports for delivery times for certain customers.
  • Agree rates for any sub-contractors  carrying out work with logistic loads.
  • Splitting of loads in accordance to ‘Men Meeting’
  • Answering phones in a polite and responsible manner

Qualifications

 Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Experience working within a pressurised environment
  • Confidence in dealing with challenging situations
  • Computer literate, with Microsoft programs and Manpac3
  • Time management
  • Effectively prioritising work load to meet deadlines
  • Work well within a team
  • Communicate effectively to ensure smooth running of the operation
