Job Description

As a successful Network Operations Manager, you will assume overall responsibility for the execution of the transport plan across all of the Culina chilled sites, directing the onsite transport teams to ensure that service level agreements are met and costs are under control.  You will also assist the Network Planning Manager to manage the Central Planning Department, filling in as and when required with client & retailer meetings. 

Shifts: Monday to Friday, days / Monday to Thursday, nights (Rotating)

Key Duties; 

  • 24/7 accountability of the operational plan across all Culina Chilled sites.
  • Key contact for transport and warehouse shift managers.
  • Proactively dealing with day to day operational issues and root cause analysis.
  • Supporting the depot transport teams to manage subcontractor performance.
  • Seek business improvements in terms of performance, increased efficiency and service levels.
  • Responsible for communication cascades through the central customer service team.
  • Carrying out investigations and disciplinaries in line with company procedure.
  • Ability to deputise for the Network Planning Manager.

Qualifications

  • Significant transport experience in a FMCG environment.
  • Have knowledge of all current legal regulations including the Road Transport Directive and current drivers’ hours.
  • The ability to effectively lead and manage people
  • Effectively prioritise work load in order to meet set deadlines.
  • Attention to detail/accuracy
  • Good geographical knowledge
  • Proficient in Computer Literacy including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  •  Flexible and methodical approach to work/training/working hours
  • Conscientious and reliable
  • Strong communication skills in order to deliver accurate information
  • Ability to work effectively and communicate to the correct level.Be professional, approachable and helpful to ensure smooth running of the general operation.
