We are now recruiting for LGV/HGV C+E Class 1 Drivers on a full time, permanent basis at our Washington site.

As a Class 1 Driver, you will be operating refrigerated articulated vehicles, delivering and collecting chilled stock from Local and Regional Distribution Centre as well as Farms and Packhouses across the UK.

Salary: (dependent on shift worked)

Ranges from £29,000-£44,0000

Shifts: 

Scotch Return - Shifts normally around 12 – 13hrs each day - we have the following patterns available (various start times):

• Tuesday to Saturday
• Sunday to Thursday
• Friday to Monday

Consolidation - Shifts normally around 12 – 13hrs with some nights out - we have the following patterns available (start times between 00:01-06:00):

• Sunday – Wednesday
• Sunday – Thursday 
• Friday-Tuesday 

Local / Stores - Shifts normally around 10 – 12hrs each day (start time between 04:00-08:00)

• Sunday – Thursday 
• Friday-- Monday 

Night returns - Shifts normally around 10 – 12hrs each day  - we have the following patterns available (start time between 14:00-18:00):    

• Friday – Monday 
• Wednesday – Sunday          
• Sunday – Thursday 

• Possession of LGV Class 1 Licence
• Current CPC
• Knowledge of Road Transport Directive and current drivers’ hours.
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
• Effectively prioritise workload in order to meet set deadline
