Shifts: 4 on 4 off nights, 6pm - 6am

Salary: £25,200 per annum

Job Description

To take the lead and co-ordinate front-line response to deliveries and collections, deal with problems and customer requests, liaise with other operational teams and be able to fulfil all office functions, supporting the CS Manager whenever necessary.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Taking ownership of the night shift team, monitoring handovers and tasks issued.
  • Proactively making senior decisions.
  • Tracking deliveries into Depot.
  • Monitoring the customer service inbox resolving internal and external queries.
  • Adding Client orders to the SOP board.
  • Proactively tracking vehicles and speaking to drivers to ensure collection timings are met.
  • Ensure relevant internal departments are kept informed of any late collection vehicles.
  • Building a good rapport with key clients by proactively communicating late running vehicles and providing ETAs.
  • Record arrival time and departure times for all collections accurately, and publish results accordingly.
  • General problem solving, particularly regarding delivery discrepancies and assisting customers with any queries that they may have.
  • Delivery reporting, both internally and to clients.
  • Assisting with training of team members
  • Ensuring all delivery issues are followed through to conclusion in a timely manner (e.g. managing returns/stock on QC hold etc.

 

Qualifications

Essential experience / knowledge / specifications

  • Highest standards of Customer Service;
  • Keenly reactive;
  • Tenacity and diligence in following problems through to closure;
  • Numerate and literate, and competent with computers (MS Office, ERP systems);
  • Highly organized, efficient and able to work effectively under pressure;
  • Flexible and co-operative: a desire to please;
  • Good communicator, both verbally and in writing.
