Great Bear is an award-winning 3rd Party UK business of Ambient products, providing nationwide dedicated and shared user warehousing and distribution solutions. 

We are currently looking for both experienced and newly qualified professional  HGV C+E Drivers on permanent basis for a new contract at our Brackmills depot.

This is a great opportunity with the potential to earn up to £45,000 per annum Days or £48,000 working on a 4 on 4 off Shift pattern either Days or Nights

Shifts: 4 on 4 off Days or 4 on 4 off Nights

Start time: Days 04:00-06:00 / Nights 16:00-18:00

Rates:

• £14.50 per hour  - Days
• £15.50 per hour - Night
• Overtime = £18.55 per hour – Days after completing weekly contractual hours
• Overtime = £19.55 per hour - Nights after completing weekly contractual hours
• Incentive pay for any additional shifts

£250 on boarding bonus paid if you join in December

• Ensure correct and thorough completion of paperwork
• Observe and adhere to company rules and procedures, including all aspects of health, safety and hygiene
• Maintain a good working knowledge of operations within the transport department
• Effectively manage own working time in line with the Road Transport Directive
• Adhere to tachograph rules and regulations at all times
• Ensure daily vehicle checks are completed in line with company procedure
• Responsible for unit and trailer, including temperature checks
• Ensure proof of deliveries (PODs) are signed and returned to the Transport Office after delivery
• Achieve and succeed fuel efficiency targets set by the business
• Any other duties as reasonably required

• Possession of LGV Class 1 Licence
• Current CPC
• Knowledge of Road Transport Directive and current drivers’ hours.
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
• Effectively prioritise workload in order to meet set deadline
